CrowdCreate

How to add a donation button to Webnode

Add a CrowdCreate fundraising widget to your Webnode site with an HTML widget. Funders pledge on your page, and the money lands in your own Stripe account.

What you need on Webnode

Webnode adds custom code through its HTML widget, which is available on a paid Webnode plan — the free plan blocks custom HTML, so the widget won't load there. On a paid plan you drag an HTML widget onto the page; if you're on the free plan, share your hosted page at crowdcreate.app/c/your-name instead, which works on any Webnode plan.

The exact line you'll paste

This is the whole install — one script tag. Your version arrives with your own site ID the moment you sign up; the steps below show where it goes in Webnode.

<script async src="https://crowdcreate.app/embed/v1.js" data-site-id="your-site-id" integrity="sha384-5uncKSka6ObaFVcYkRYEIlufPx0xNsoxnp3qQmYhm0wzYIdKgBny8pOkPgWNUyt+" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>

This is the exact snippet — you get yours, with your own site ID, free after signup.

Step by step

  1. 1In the Webnode editor, open the page and click the spot where you want the widget.
  2. 2From the element menu, add an HTML widget (sometimes labelled "Widgets → HTML").
  3. 3Paste your CrowdCreate snippet into the widget's code box and confirm.
  4. 4Click Publish, open your live site, and make a $1 test pledge to confirm it works.

Common questions

Do I need a paid plan on Webnode?

It depends. Some Webnode plans restrict custom code or embeds, so the inline widget may need a higher tier. If yours doesn't allow it, the hosted donation page works on any plan — you just link to it instead of embedding.

Where does the money go?

Into your own Stripe account, directly. CrowdCreate never holds or routes your donations — Stripe pays out to your bank on your schedule.

What does it cost?

$20/mo flat. No percentage of donations, no per-transaction fee from us. Cancel anytime, with a 30-day refund.
