How to add a donation button to Framer
Add a CrowdCreate fundraising widget to your Framer site with an Embed component. Funders pledge on your page, and the money lands in your own Stripe account.
What you need on Framer
Framer runs the Embed's custom code on published sites — but publishing to your own custom domain requires a paid site plan (Mini, $5/mo, and up). On the free plan you only get a framer.website subdomain, and while embeds can render there, you'll want a paid plan for a real domain. If you'd rather not publish a paid site yet, share your hosted page at crowdcreate.app/c/your-name instead; it works regardless of your Framer plan.
The exact line you'll paste
This is the whole install — one script tag. Your version arrives with your own site ID the moment you sign up; the steps below show where it goes in Framer.
<script async src="https://crowdcreate.app/embed/v1.js" data-site-id="your-site-id" integrity="sha384-5uncKSka6ObaFVcYkRYEIlufPx0xNsoxnp3qQmYhm0wzYIdKgBny8pOkPgWNUyt+" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>This is the exact snippet — you get yours, with your own site ID, free after signup.
Step by step
- 1In the Framer editor, open the page and click Insert (the + in the top toolbar).
- 2Search for Embed and drag the Embed component onto the canvas.
- 3In the right-hand panel, set the Embed type to HTML and paste your CrowdCreate snippet (copy it from your dashboard).
- 4The widget won't run inside the editor preview — that's expected. Click Publish to push it to your live or staging URL.
- 5Open the published page and make a $1 test pledge to confirm it works.

Common questions
Do I need a paid plan on Framer?
It depends. Some Framer plans restrict custom code or embeds, so the inline widget may need a higher tier. If yours doesn't allow it, the hosted donation page works on any plan — you just link to it instead of embedding.
Where does the money go?
Into your own Stripe account, directly. CrowdCreate never holds or routes your donations — Stripe pays out to your bank on your schedule.
What does it cost?
$20/mo flat. No percentage of donations, no per-transaction fee from us. Cancel anytime, with a 30-day refund.
