Ghost supports custom code on its paid plans and on self-hosted installs. If you're on the free trial, the widget won't load until you're on a paid plan — share your hosted page at crowdcreate.app/c/your-name in the meantime; it works anywhere.

Step by step

  1. 1To add the widget to one post or page: open it in the editor, click the + button, and choose HTML.
  2. 2Paste your CrowdCreate snippet into the HTML card and click out of it.
  3. 3To add it site-wide instead: go to Settings → Code injection and paste the snippet into Site Footer, then Save.
  4. 4Publish the post (or save the settings), open the live page, and make a $1 test pledge to confirm it works.

Do I need a paid plan on Ghost?

It depends. Some Ghost plans restrict custom code or embeds, so the inline widget may need a higher tier. If yours doesn't allow it, the hosted donation page works on any plan — you just link to it instead of embedding.

Where does the money go?

Into your own Stripe account, directly. CrowdCreate never holds or routes your donations — Stripe pays out to your bank on your schedule.
