What is Stripe Connect?

Stripe Connect is a part of Stripe built for platforms that need to move money to multiple recipients. Instead of one central account holding everyone's funds, each user connects (or creates) their own Stripe account, and payments are routed straight to it.

For a donation tool, Connect is what makes it possible for your donations to land in your own Stripe account rather than the tool's. The platform facilitates the payment, but it never holds your money — Stripe pays out to your bank on your own schedule.

CrowdCreate uses Stripe Connect so funds go directly to your account. CrowdCreate never holds or routes your donations through its own balance, which is why it can charge a flat fee instead of taking a cut.
