CrowdCreate

What is peer-to-peer fundraising?

Peer-to-peer fundraising is a model where individual supporters each raise money for a cause from their own networks, contributing toward a shared total.

In peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraising, the nonprofit doesn't ask donors directly — instead, individual supporters sign up to fundraise on the nonprofit's behalf. Each supporter gets their own personal campaign page, shares it with friends and family, and the funds they raise roll up to the parent campaign. A walkathon, an endurance event, or a birthday fundraiser are common P2P shapes.

P2P works because it leverages each fundraiser's social network — people give to friends they trust, not to a logo. It also requires a tool that can spin up individual sub-campaign pages, attribute gifts back to each fundraiser, and report on the team total.

CrowdCreate is a single donation widget on your own site, not a peer-to-peer platform — there's no per-supporter sub-page or fundraiser attribution. If P2P is core to how you raise, a dedicated peer-to-peer platform is the right tool; CrowdCreate fits a single shared ask, not many supporter-run sub-asks.

CrowdCreate is a $20/month donation widget for your own website — no cut of your donations, money straight to your own Stripe.
